No thanks to some product placement, some of the secrets of the plot of “The Amazing Spider-Man” have been revealed. This may be the most excited you’ll be about Mega Blocks since you were a kid. (By the way, make sure not to read this if you don’t want to be spoiled. You’ve been warned.)
According ComingSoon.net, not only is the main villain the Lizard (Rhys Ifans), but he has also concocted a huge plan involving a whole crew of lizard henchmen. The packaging of the “Spider-Man” tie-in toy, the Mega Blocks “The Amazing Spider-Man Oscorp Tower FX Battle” playset, comes with a “SWAT Lizard” figure, meaning that the report made by Big Fanboy a year ago was correct–the Lizard will turn a whole SWAT team into lizards to fight alongside him. Interesting stuff…
With the product images being leaked, this makes me wonder if this was planned at all. I would think that if I had some secrets in the plot that I didn’t want to get out to the public that I would make sure to stress that to any other companies affiliated with my movie. But whatever.
