The first official movie trailer for the horror film ‘Silent House’ has landed on the web. Featuring break out star Elizabeth Olsen of Martha Marcy May Marlene fame, the co-directed picture from Chris Kentis and Laura Lau, chronicles a young girl who is trapped in her parent’s lake house where she goes crazy. In the start of the trailer, Olsen appears as her character Sarah, an easy going girl on the outside, but, who is actually a woman haunted by her father’s death, and a looming figure. About to endure a 88 minute ordeal of what can only be suspected as sheer torture and terror, scenes of Olsen struggling dominate the screen.
Aside from flashes of Olsen making her way through a dark house with a lamp and trying to escape, you may catch a glimpse of actors Adam Trese (40 Days and 40 Nights, Gravity) and Eric Sheffer Stevens (Julie and Julia, I Hate My Teenage Daughter). Supporting actors Julia Taylor Ross, Haley Murphy, and, Adam Barnett, are also on board the horror movie. The screenplay was written by Gustavo Hernández and Laura Lau.
