Katy Perry tweeted her anger towards her parents via twitter for saying her divorce from Russell Brand was a blessing from God TMZ is reporting. The singer tweeted that she’s grateful for all the love and support her fans have given her, but “concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, “close sources” or my family.
Perry’s tweets come after her parents, Pastors Keith and Mary Hudson, said God used their daughter’s divorce to fill the rafters of their church in Westlake, Ohio. Church On The Rise advertised the Hudsons’ appearance on January 4, where they spoke for the first time about the divorce. A video that featured the Hudsons at award shows with Perry was shown before their mass.
Mary told parishioners, “I’m sure (Katy) is trending on the Internet just to get you to church tonight. I mean all over the world, who knows how God is bringing them in? The most important thing is you are here and God wants to put the fire in you in 2012.”
Keith added “What has taken place in my daughter’s life has opened many opportunities to go in and be with guarded and gated people. God has given us a platform to go in and meet people-and they like us because we are cool. We are not threatening.”
