Rapper Snoop Dogg has been arrested in Texas for possession of marijuana. The well known singer was busted after a drug sniffing dog picked up the scent of weed on his tour bus. Snoop Dogg, who just recently showed up on the long time game show, Price is Right, was stopped at a patrol check point in Sierra Blanca, a small town located in West Texas.

Snoop Dogg’s arrest happened over the weekend on Saturday morning after police uncovered three prescription bottles filled with marijuana cigarettes, per CNN. According to a statement released from the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s office, the rapper “freely admitted” that the drugs were his. The news shared also detailed how the arrest went down. “During a routine check of U.S. citizenship the inspecting Border Patrol agent detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the inside of the vehicle and requested the driver to pull into the secondary inspection lane for further inspected.” The drug sniffing dog was then “alerted to a trash can located at the rear of the vehicle where a red prescription bottle containing rolled marijuana cigarettes were located.”

The Doggy Dog World singer was then placed under arrest by U.S. Border Patrol agents and detained for possession of an illegal substances.” So far representatives from the entertainer’s camp have yet to respond.
