Len Wiseman has offered several details on his ‘Total Recall’ remake, saying he’s very close to handing in his director’s cut, Super Hero Hype is reporting. While doing press for ‘Underworld: Awakening,’ the helmer added “The combination of mystery and emotion and action, it’s coming together. Colin (Farrell) is a huge part of that and I’m really happy with him.”
Wiseman also said that the complexity of ‘Total Recall’s two stories “was the most surprising and challenging thing…There’s the reality story and there’s the fantasy element. They’re running together, so you always have to keep those two alive.” The director added the two stories is what makes the film’s concept “so cool.”
Since every detail had to be applied to both scenarios, “this made all of the conversation I had with my cast fun,” Wiseman said. “The dual nature of the story was the best thing about this,” the director added.
