Hungry? You won’t be after checking out this vicious new clip from Anchor Bay’s zombie thriller The Dead.
The film focuses on the sole survivor of an ill-fated evacuation plane out of Africa. Lt. Brian Murphy (Rob Freeman) is left in a land overrun by the living dead, but is willing to do whatever it takes to get home to his family. On his way, he joins forces with Daniel Dembele (Prince David Osei), a local solider desperately trying to find his son.
Sure, we’ve seen one zombie film after another, but how many can you think of that take place in Africa? The new location offers a stunning new backdrop as well as the opportunity to work with some geopolitical issues, giving The Dead a fresher perspective.
But, of course, The Dead is still packed with brutal zombie battles and this clip from the film most certainly proves it. “Village Attack” shows what happens when an African village is overrun with hungry folks who’ve come back to life.
How about a little blood with your holiday chocolate and roses? The Dead is due out on DVD and Blu-ray on February 14th. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, right?
