Khloe Kardashian has publicly spoken for the first time about her alleged assault on a transgender woman, saying she didn’t do anything wrong and was acting in self-defense, TMZ is reporting. The E! reality star filed a response in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming Chantal Spears provoked her into becoming physical. Kardashian added her conduct “was reasonably necessary for her self-defense and safety.”
Spears, whose real name is Ronald Spears, first sued Kardashian in December 2011. She said she violently attacked her for no reason outside Playhouse, a nightclub on Hollywood Blvd., on December 5, 2009. Kardashian reportedly caused serious injury while pushing and hitting Spears.
The assault happened after Spears told Kardashian’s husband, Lamar Odom, that he was too young to be married. Spears, who added that she didn’t provoke anyone, has not yet publicly commented on Kardashian’s response. She’s asking for unspecified damages in the case.
