TMZ is reporting that singer/songwriter Whitney Houston has died today at the age of 48. Her publicist Kristen Foster has confirmed. The cause of death and location has yet to be released.
Throughout her remarkable career Whitney Houston won six Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards and numerous Billboard and American Music Awards. She was also the first female to have debuted with a #1 on the Billboard Charts.
