Chris Brown and Rihanna have reunited professionally, as they have collaborated together on two new songs, ABC News is reporting. The songs hit the Internet on February 20, 2012, with Brown being featured on the remix of Rihanna’s song ‘Birthday Cake.’ The ‘Battleship’ actress also sings on the remix of the ‘Think Like a Man’ actor’s song ‘Turn Up the Music.’

Brown tweeted a link to ‘Turn Up the Music’ on February 20, and Rihanna later retweeted it. She later tweeted the ‘Birthday Cake’ remix that day, her 24th birthday.

The new songs come after Brown attacked then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 at a pre-Grammy Awards party. He later pleaded guilty to a felony charge, and is still serving five years of probation. In 2011, a judge eased a restraining order, after Rihanna’s attorney said she didn’t object. Brown was originally ordered to stay 50 yards away from her, but the restriction was lessened to 10 yards if they’re at a music industry event.

After not attending the Grammys for the three years since the attack, Brown returned to the 2012 ceremony, performing twice. He also won best R&B album, his first Grammy. Rihanna also performed a duet with Coldplay, and won two awards, for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, for ‘All of the Lights.’ Both Brown and Rihanna’s reps have declined to comment on the collaborations.
