After a few weeks of nothing but new toy releases, we finally have something from the movie itself, and it’s something that’s almost as good as seeing the movie itself–the synopsis! Even though the synopsis wasn’t found on a toy package, it was still ironically included in a collector’s item that will soon be available for purchase.
IGN reported via The Daily Blam! that the synopsis was found along with the details for an upcoming “TDKR” film plaque being sold by Film Cells, Ltd. There are some minor spoilers in the synopsis so if you don’t want to know what’s going to happen, DON’T READ ON, please.
The official synopsis states:
“When Commissioner Gordon stumbles upon a plot to destroy the city from within, Bruce Wayne gets back into action as the Batman. Waiting for him is the mysterious Selina Kyle and Bane, a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batman’s legacy piece by piece.”
So, we finally have an idea of what Bane’s going to do, but now even more questions have risen. Why would Bane want to destroy Gotham? What does Selina Kyle have at stake here? The plot thickens.
We’ll all be able to learn what happens together when “The Dark Knight Rises” premieres July 20 nationwide.
