Liam Neeson is in negotiations to play the lead role in the upcoming airline thriller ‘Non-Stop,’ Collider is reporting. The film, which will be financed and produced by Dark Castle Entertainment, takes place aboard an international flight. If cast, the actor will play an aging air marshal who faces a threat during the flight.

Warner Bros. will distribute ‘Non-Stop,’ after picking up the spec script from first-time writers John Richardson and Chris Roach last August. ‘Never Back Down’ director Jeff Wadlow is attached to helm the movie. Dark Castle’s co-founder, Joel Silver, will produce the film, as the production house is affiliated with Warner Bros.

Neeson previously worked with Dark Castle on last year’s hit action movie ‘Unknown,’ which garnered over $136 million at the box office. He can currently be seen in ‘Wrath of the Titans,’ and also stars in next month’s ‘Battleship.’ The actor has also been confirmed as a returning cast member in ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ and is reportedly considering a role to play Lyndon B. Johnson in ‘The Butler.’ He also reprised his role of skilled CIA operative Bryan Mills in ‘Taken 2,’ which finished filming last month.
