MTV has some news about the MPAA rating for “The Dark Knight Rises.” As I reported earlier, the MPAA has given the film a PG-13 rating. Obviously, there’s violence involved in the film, but there’s also some elements in the film that have to do with Bruce Wayne/Batman’s relationships.

According to MTV, the rating for the film reads on the Warner Bros. exhibitor services site as “PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language.”

I wonder what “some sensuality” entails. MTV is speculating that it has to do with Batman’s relationship with Selina Kyle/Catwoman, which is apt, but MTV is also speculating that the rating could have something to do with Talia al Ghul. We know there’s a young Talia in the film, but there’s no official word if there’s going to be an older Talia who will have a relationship with Batman, so we’ll see about the Talia speculation, but

“The Dark Knight Rises” stars Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. The film will be released July 20.

What do you think about this news? Do you think an older Talia is even in the film? Give your opinions in the comments section below.
