New photos of ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’s Rooney Mara have been in high circulation in recent weeks. The round of pics shows Mara back to work with her long dark hair as she films her latest role in the movie ‘Bitter Pill’ from ‘Haywire’ director Steven Soderbergh. The thriller features Mara as Emily Hawkins, “a woman who turns to prescription medication to cope with the anxiety of the release of her husband from prison.”
The movie is currently filming on location in the streets and other locations in New York City where Rooney has been spotted several times since her rise to fame after portraying the demanding role of Lisbeth Salander. The cast also includes actor Channing Tatum, who will play her paroled husband, Sherlock Holmes star Jude Law as her doctor and the man she has an affair with, and veteran performer Catherine Zeta Jones. ‘Bitter Pill’ will hit theaters on February 8, 2013 as just announced by Open Road Films. The actress is also on board the Terrence Malick helmed film Lawless with Ryan Gosling and Wes Bentley. The film follows “two intersecting love triangles.
