IMAX die-hards will love this news about “The Dark Knight Rises.” According to Comic Book Movie and The Wall Street Journal, “The Dark Knight Rises” will have the most IMAX footage ever in a film. The amount of IMAX footage–over an hour’s worth.

According to the sites, IMAX has not committed to any other movies this August and September because they are planning on having as many screens as possible dedicated to “Rises”–the film will be at 100 IMAX locations throughout America. The reason for this is so that director Christopher Nolan can feel the work that went into this film will be justified. “I felt if we could have one of those in every major city, we could justify the difficulty of going to a lot of trouble to shoot this way,” he said. ‘You’ll see a crisper image.”
