New official clips from the upcoming horror films ‘Apartment 143’ and ‘Area 407,’ which are now available on-demand, have been released. ‘Apartment 143,’ which is now available on VOD, iTunes, Amazon and Mag Pictures on-demand, is set to be released in theaters June 1. ‘Area 407’ is now available on IFC Midnight Cable OD and Digital Outlets, including SundanceNOW and Amazon Streaming, and is also in select theaters.

‘Apartment 143’ stars Kai Lennox and Michael O’Keefe, and was directed by Carles Torrens. The film, which was written by Rodrigo Cortes, follows a team of parapsychologists who set out to investigate a series of anomalous phenomena in a newly occupied apartment. There are mysterious shadows, extraordinary light emissions, flying objects and exploding light bulbs in the apartment, which are only some of the events the parapsychologists face while there. Using infra-red filming, digital photography, psychophonic recordings and other equipment, the group tries to contact the other side, which grows increasingly dangerous.

‘Area 407,’ which was directed by Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin, follows a flight set to fly from New York to Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. The passengers of 37A are soon sent into shock as the plan experiences severe turbulence. The passengers suffer from panic and terror until the plane crashes into a remote government-testing reserve, Area 407. As two teenage sisters film the crash, it becomes clear that the remaining survivors may not make it through the night.

Abigail Schrader, Samantha Lester, James Lyons, Melanie Loyns and Brendan Patrick Connor star in ‘Area 407.’ The film was written by Robert Shepyer.
