Amanda Bynes was involved in a second hit-and-run accident on Thursday night in Hollywood, TMZ is reporting. The ‘Easy A’ star allegedly sideswiped a car while driving her Range Rover near the intersection of Crescent Heights and Melrose Blvd. The man driving the other car said Bynes’ SUV hit him as she was trying to pass him on the right.
The other driver called police and reported the hit and run when Bynes didn’t stop at the scene. He reportedly began following the SUV himself, and police even dispatched a police helicopter to track the Range Rover, unsure how severe the accident was.
When police finally caught up with Bynes, she said she had no idea she had struck another car. The damage to her Range Rover was so minimal, she reportedly didn’t feel the accident.
Bynes was cooperative with police, and officers had her exchange information with the other driver. She wasn’t given a citation for the accident, which comes a month after she was arrested in Los Angeles for DUI when she hit a police car. While Bynes was arrested, and subsequently released, for the DUI accident, police won’t be investigating the new accident any further.
