‘American Beauty’ actress Mena Suvari is still engrossed in a messy divorce. According to TMZ, Suvari’s soon to be ex-husband Simone Sestito is looking for spousal support in the amount of $17,151 a month. Sesito claims that he is accustomed to high-end living since marrying Suvari back in 2010 and would like to continue maintaining his lifestyle, especially since his job as a concert promoter has left him in the negative. Sestito is also seeking $10K for attorney fees that is part of their divorce. It has been reported that the ‘American Pie’ actress has a monthly income of $750K.
Back in January Suvari prepped for the possibility of this situation, asking the judge to block her husband from receiving support in the divorce petition she filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Recently talking to the Daily Mail Suvari shared what sounded like disappointment over the failure of both of her marriages. “I mean honestly, I never thought that at 33 I’d be a two-time divorcee.”
“There are many reasons why things don’t work out,” she stated while avoiding details, “and I think at some point you have to acknowledge that and work towards maintaining your own happiness. You have to surround yourself with people who love you and want the best for you. I call this process weeding my garden.”
