Swimsuits get a racy jolt of fashion from design partners Jennifer Stano-David and Lilly Ghalichi, the team behind Have Faith – Swimgerie. The line came about through the consolidation of two separate swimwear lines.
Have Faith – Swimgerie is the merger of Have Faith Swimwear founded by model/designer Stano-David and Femme Noir Swimgerie founded by attorney/designer Lilly Ghalichi. According to the two designers, they “quickly went from competitors, to best friends, eventually merging their companies into one swimwear powerhouse, Have Faith – Swimgerie.” Today, Have Faith – Swimgerie is based in Beverly Hills, giving women luxury swimsuits that “will be as beautiful and flattering as possible.”
Each season, wrote the designers in an email interview, their label releases two collections. “A fun, flirty, glamorous collection of Swimwear, and a sensual, seductive, lingerie inspired collection of ‘Swimgerie.’”
“’Swimgerie’ is not quite swimwear, and not quite lingerie. Rather, something new and sexy that falls in-between,” they wrote.
For the line’s current “Desert Collection”, the designers stated, “[O]ur inspirations included the naked colors of the earth, the beautiful elements of nature, and the sexy curves of a woman’s body. We tried to create suits that were as flattering as possible, while remaining fun, flirty and girly.”
“‘The Desert Collection’ is full of beautiful Earth tones, bold metallic fabrics, and colors that reminded us of the gorgeous desert sunset,” they wrote.
The “Swimgerie” collection is a lot racier than the “Desert Collection,” but just as feminine.
“For our ‘Swimgerie’ collections, we look to the bedroom for inspiration rather than traditional swimwear trends,” wrote the designers. “We want women to feel as sexy and confident as possible in our swimwear, women always feel sexy in lingerie, so we try to capture the allure that lingerie provides, and incorporate it into the swimwear.”
“The current Swimgerie Collection is embodied by the sexy use of lace, seductive cuts, and other primarily lingerie based elements,” they stated. “Both collections offer the most flattering fit to accentuate a woman’s curves, and as always, the highest quality at the lowest price possible.”
If you’re interested in getting in on swimsuit fashion, the designers also have some tips for you to try.
“The scrunch butt is a great new trend,” wrote Ghalichi. “The scrunch allows the fabric to pull in a bit, thus eliminating the “diaper” effect that swimwear bottoms typically create. At Have Faith – Swimgerie, we took the scrunch butt even further, and we make most of our bottoms “heart shaped – scrunch butt”. The heart top curve of the bottom creates a plumping, rounding illusion to the girl’s butt. You have to try it to see just how sexy you’ll look!”
Ghalichi also stated that one idea people have about swimsuits is incorrect. “A huge misconception is that swimsuits will ‘fit like a diaper,’ ‘reveal too much,’ or be ‘unflattering,” she wrote. “We encourage girls to just try on a Have Faith Swimgerie suit, we are confident they will be presently surprised with how sexy they will feel, all while remaining classy!”
Confidence issues concerning bikinis arise when the swimsuit doesn’t fit its owner in all senses of the word, according to Ghalichi. “I think confidence issues relating to donning a swimsuit arise because traditionally there were only basic, boring, unflattering bikinis, or barely there skimpy, string bikinis,” she wrote. “Two words set us apart from this: Fit and Uniqueness. Our suits really are the most flattering and different out there. Finally there’s an alternative to the traditional two categories, we’re something sexy that falls in between.”
“Here at Have Faith – Swimgerie, we promise to never keep it boring! We’re constantly trying to come up with sexy, creative new suits and cuts,” wrote the designers.

The hope for the brand, they wrote, is to create a brand “that offers the best quality swimwear at the lowest possible price so that all women can afford to own a luxury, designer, Beverly Hills Bikini!”
