Lindsay Lohan is claiming the breaks on her rented Porsche didn’t work when she hit the back of an 18-wheel truck on Friday, TMZ is reporting. The claim came after the ‘Liz & Dick’ star said in the moments after the accident that the driver of the semi-truck cut her off. The actress then added that when she slammed on the brakes, the Porsche didn’t stop. Lohan is also saying that she was told that the brakes were replaced two days before the crash.
Lohan was taken to the hospital after the accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica. She’s saying that she’s lucky to be alive, and only suffered cuts and bruises. No one was seriously injured in the accident.
The driver of the truck is denying Lohan’s claims that he cut her off. He added that he has witnesses to prove the accident was her fault, and she was driving fast down the highway. The driver also said that he couldn’t have cut Lohan off because he was already in the right lane when the accident occurred. The driver added that Lohan’s reps tried to bribe him at the scene in an effort to keep him quiet.
