BBC America has released a new trailer for their upcoming TV series entitled ‘Copper’. The original crime drama will center on actor Tom Weston-Jones as an Irish-American detective named Kevin Corcoran, who patrols the streets of Five Points in New York during 1864 in the hopes of catching the person responsible for the murder of his daughter and kidnapped wife. Franka Potente will also star as Madam Eva Heissen, as well as actress Joanne Boland (Land of the Dead), Dylan Taylor (Covert Affairs), Anastasia Griffith (Once Upon a Time), Matthew Deslippe (Across the River to Motor City), and Kevin Ryan (Raw) as Detective Francis Maguire. The series will make its debut on the network this coming summer on August 19th at 8 pm est. ‘Copper’ comes from co-creators Tom Fontana of ‘Oz’ fame and Berry Levinson.
