Courteney Cox has filed legal documents in response to estranged husband David Arquette’s divorce petition, TMZ is reporting. Just like Arquette, the ‘Cougar Town’ star filed the papers without a lawyer. Cox filed the papers on Friday, the same day that Arquette did. The two reportedly filled them out together, and both said they’re represented by “SELF.”
One of the more notable aspects of Cox’s papers is that there isn’t a mention of a prenup. There are reports that the two didn’t sign one. If that’s the case, the twp actors will have to equally divide the money they both earned during the 12-and-a-half-years they were together, as everything would be community property.
The division of their earnings is noteworthy, as during the final seasons of ‘Friends,’ Cox made $1 million per episode. She’s reportedly worth $75 million, while Arquette is worth $18 million.

Cox, like Arquette, is asking for joint physical and legal custody of their eight-year-old daughter, Coco. Cox also wants to restore her name to Courteney Cox, and drop the hyphenated Arquette.
