Michael Lohan defended his daughter Lindsay yesterday while calling in to the Wired 96.5 radio show with Chio, Shila and Tingle in the Morning in Philadelphia. Michael stood up for Lindsay in the wake of her most recent car accident in Los Angeles. The ‘Liz & Dick’ star allegedly hit the back of a 18-wheeler on June 8 on the Pacific Coast Highway with her rented Porsche.
Michael started off the interview saying that Lindsay’s doing well after the accident. He said that she’s been on the set of her new Lifetime movie, in which she plays Elizabeth Taylor, all the time, and she’s been receiving rave reviews. She’s so dedicated to the job and in proving herself that she left the hospital after the crash to go to the set. He added that she should have stayed in the hospital, instead of immediately leaving.
As for the alleged open container of vodka that was found in Lindsay’s trunk after the accident, Michael said those reports are false. He added that police have said the bottle was part of the debris that was taken off the side of the road and put into the Porsche following the accident. Michael also said that when his daughter took a toxicology report at the hospital after the crash, it showed there weren’t any drugs or alcohol in her system.
