Paris Jackson has revealed that she has been a victim of bullying. The daughter of the late King of Pop shared her ordeal with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter, telling the popular host that while she was verbally attacked, Jackson, who was previously home schooled, was not willing to let the abuse take her over. “People try, but it doesn’t always work. At school and some people try to cyber bully me.” Adding, “They try to get to me with words, but that doesn’t really work.”
She says that she is now aware of people’s mistreatment and questionable behavior and has come up with her own personal strategy to deal with them. “If I feel someone is being fake to me, I will just push away.” Paris also spoke about her late father during the interview session, saying that she now understands why her father covered her and her brother’s faces with masks when they ventured out in public. “But I understand it now – why my dad would want our faces to be covered. When we went out without him we wouldn’t be recognized.”
The fourteen year old says that she has “had a normal childhood – including trips to the children’s arcade and restaurant Chuck E. Cheese’s.” She also admits that her dad didn’t have an easy time growing up. “He told us that when he was younger he didn’t really have a childhood. He would always be stuck in the studio singing while the kids were out playing. He wanted us to have that.”
