FilmOn.com founder and CEO Alki David is known for being loyal to his celebrity hosting family, and his staged intervention to help FilmOn’s “Andy Dick Live!” host Andy Dick proves that.
According to Perez Hilton, David had a professional interventionist on hand while he broke the news to Dick on the live show. According to the site, David said to Dick on camera, “Everybody knows you have been going through your trials and tribulations…I told you the other day that if this continued we can’t carry on.”
Thankfully, Dick agreed with David about his health troubles and was escorted off the set by a representative for Oasis Treatment Center in Anaheim, California.
David told Celebuzz, “Andy is very excited to begin this new chapter in his life and wants his viewers to know that once he has completed the program at Oasis, he will resume live streaming of the show and be better than ever.”
As the International Business Times reports, this isn’t the first time the comedian has been to rehab. His battle with drugs and alcohol span the course of years, including his stints on VH1′s “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” and that show’s spinoff, “Sober House.” While on “Sober House,” Dick promised he would get sober for his children.
