Kristin Chenoweth was rushed to a New York City hospital yesterday afternoon after she was injured on the Brooklyn set of CBS’ hit crime drama ‘The Good Wife,’ TMZ is reporting. The actress was reportedly struck by a piece of lighting equipment after a large gust of wind caused it to collapse.
Chenoweth immediately fell to the ground, and hit her head on the concrete. Someone on the set called 911 to report that she had been hit in the head by a scaffold.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and treated Chenoweth on the set. She was fitted with a neck brace and put onto a stretcher before being taken from the set in an ambulance and admitted to a nearby hospital. A rep for the New York Fire Department told TMZ that Chenoweth was being treated for minor injuries.
The incident wasn’t the first time Chenoweth has been injured while preparing for a role. She injured her neck in 2003 during the pre-Broadway engagement of ‘Wicked.’ In 2006, she fell off an elevated section of the stage as she was rehearsing for the Broadway revival of ‘The Apple Tree.’ Last year, she also injured her back while on the set of ‘Glee.’ The actress stumbled down a set of concrete stairs while on the hit FOX musical series.
