Katie Holmes and her six-year-old daughter Suri were involved in a minor fender bender last night in New York City, TMZ is reporting. The actress’ Mercedes-Benz limousine was sideswiped by a garbage truck on 33rd Street, not far from Chelsea Piers. Holmes was picking up Suri from a gymnastics lesson when the accident occurred.
Holmes and Suri weren’t hurt when the truck scraped the left rear fender of the Mercedes. Holmes’ driver was behind the wheel, and was the only other person in the car.
Police said no one was cited in the accident, and there was only minor damage to Holmes’ Mercedes. She exchanged information with the driver of the garbage truck before leaving the scene.
The accident comes after Holmes settled her custody agreement with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Tom Cruise. While the settlement, which is still confidential and was settled in record time, Holmes and Cruise’s divorce will reportedly take a long time to dissolve. The ‘Jack and Jill’ actress allegedly began orchestrating the details on disposable cell phones long before she told Cruise of her intentions.
