‘Magic Mike’ star Alex Pettyfer is in talks for Nick Cassavete’s new project ‘Cali’. According to reports coming down from Variety, Pettyfer is in line to play opposite Twilight’s Bella, Kristen Stewart, in the movie that follows two lovers from the San Fernando Valley. Together the two create a fake snuff film, selling it for money before taking off and creating new identities and new lives somewhere else. Stewart’s character will face troubles however when she has to return home to save her sister that she left behind. ‘Cali’, which is due out sometime next year, will be produced by 300’s Craig J. Flores, Zev Foreman (Fire with Fire), and Michael Diliberti (30 Minutes or Less).
If Pettyfer does accept the role he’ll have to juggle the new film project along with his attachment to Lee Daniel’s ‘The Butler’ where he has been cast as Thomas Westphall. He is also a part of director Pascal Chaumeil’s ‘Diamond Dogs’ in the lead role. Then there is the rumors that the ‘I Am Number Four’ star may also return to his post in ‘Magic Mike 2′ that was recently announced by Channing Tatum. Pettyfer’s prior credits include ‘Beastly’, ‘In Time’, ‘Tormented’, and ‘Wild Child’.
