If you’re into westerns, moonshine, and historical dramas, the upcoming “Lawless” is for you. For those of you who can’t wait for the film to premiere, there’s a new infographic on Crave Online for the Weinstein Company’s upcoming film, “Lawless.” The online content features historical facts about moonshine and the moonshining business in America, and it also has a cool photo of Shia LeBeouf (“Transformers,” “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”) in character as Jack Bondurant.
“Lawless” tells the true story of the Bondurant brothers, American bootleggers who attempt to reach their version of the American Dream in Depression-era Virginia. The film is based on “The Wettest Country in the World,” a novel by Matt Bondurant about his family’s bootlegging history. “Lawless” also stars Tom Hardy (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight Rises”), Gary Oldman (“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,” “The Dark Knight Rises”), and Jessica Chastain (“The Help,” “The Tree of Life”). Directed by John Hillcoat (“The Proposition,” “The Road”) and written by Nick Cave (“The Proposition,” “Batman Forever”), “Lawless” is sure to be a great western about family, business, and the pursuit of a better life.
