A misdemeanor battery warrant has been issued for Cuba Gooding, Jr. by the New Orleans Police Department, after the ‘Machete Kills’ actor reportedly shoved a female bartender, TMZ is reporting. Police received a complaint that Gooding became physical yesterday around 2am at The Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street.
Gooding, who’s currently in New Orleans filming ‘The Butler’ with Oprah Winfrey, reportedly became upset when several bar patrons recognized him and began taking pictures. He then allegedly began cursing at the people, so the female bartender approached him and asked him to leave.
Gooding reportedly didn’t leave quietly, and shoved the bartender against a wall. One of her co-workers called 911, but no arrests were made at the scene.
Police said the bartender claimed she told the actor the officers were on the way, and he needed to leave. He then allegedly shoved her again before leaving. Police are now on orders to arrest Gooding on sight. His reps have declined to comment.
