Cuba Gooding Jr. called a female New Orleans bartender a racist after she kicked him out of The Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street early Tuesday morning, TMZ is reporting. The exchange between the intoxicated actor, who’s in New Orleans filming ‘The Butler’ with Oprah Winfrey, and the bartender was caught on tape.
After the fight, police issued an arrest warrant for Gooding. The bartender claimed the Oscar winner shoved her twice when she asked him to leave the bar. He became upset when he saw other bar patrons taking pictures of him.
The video starts just as Gooding leaves the bar, and the bartender follows him into the street. She then tells someone to “call the cops right now.” Gooding then told the onlookers that the bartender is racist, and “she doesn’t like me.” Moments later, a bystander said Gooding shoved the bartender.
The video’s release comes as the management at The Old Absinthe House announced the bartender wouldn’t be pressing charges against Gooding. The managers added that “while we continue to investigate this matter internally, we are hopeful that this will put an end to the matter.”
Gooding met with police officers on Wednesday, and the warrant against him was revoked. However, he was issued a summons to appear in court to answer the allegations.
