Earlier this year, we saw Abraham Lincoln battle vampires, but later this year, we’ll see a more traditional look at the United States’ 16th president.

Steven Spielberg is helming the historical biopic about Lincoln called “Lincoln,” based on the book “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln” by historian Doris Kearns Goodwin. The film stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Jackie Earle Haley, Jared Harris and Sally Field, among others. The film will be out in theaters November 16, but if you can’t wait until then to see what Day-Lewis will be like as Lincoln, you don’t have to wait any more. Below the post, you can see the first image of Day-Lewis in full costume.

From my perspective, Day-Lewis looks very much like the same guy I see on my pennies, so for all intents and purposes, I think the makeup and hair departments might deserve some accolades in the near future.

You can learn more about the film from its IMDB page. What do you think about the film? Are you excited to see it? Do you think Day-Lewis will give his best Lincoln impression? Give your opinions on this film in the comments section below.
