Comedy Central will broadcast a variety of specials and series episodes next week, and the highlights include the ‘Roast of Roseanne’ world premiere. Set to air on Sunday, August 12 from 10-11:30pm, the cable network will roll out the red carpet for one of America’s most outspoken comedians. Roast Master Jane Lynch will lead such roasters as Ellen Barkin, Wayne Brady, Carrie Fisher, Gilbert Gottfried, Seth Green, Anthony Jeselnik, Jeffery Ross, Katey Sagal, Amy Schumer and the sitcom actress’ ex-husband, Tom Arnold.

Comedy Central will later premiere all new episodes of its hit talk shows, ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ and ‘The Colbert Report,’ from Monday, August 13 to Thursday, August 16. ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,’ which airs from 11-11:30 pm, will feature Robert Pattinson, as he promotes his new movie, ‘Cosmopolis,’ on August 13. Anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams, will be visiting on Wednesday, August 15. Comedian and actor Rob Corddry will stop by on Thursday, August 16, to promote his TV show ‘Children’s Hospital.’

The guests for next week’s all-new episodes of ‘The Colbert Report,’ which broadcasts 11:30pm-12am, will be announced closer to air dates. The guest for the Tuesday, August 14 episode of ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ will also be announced at a later date.

Other Comedy Central highlights include the series premiere of ‘The Burn with Jeff Ross,’ which will air from 10:30-11pm on August 14. Ross will roast the world on the original weekly series, including pop culture topics. He’ll also hit the streets to take aim at public enemies, such as the paparazzi. Ross will also be joined by fellow comics and celebrity friends to roast pop culture.

An all-new episode of ‘Futurama,’ titled ‘Near-Death Wish,’ will air on August 15 from 10-10:30 pm. The show will follow the Professor, who is deeply disturbed when his parents return from virtual retirement aboard the Near-Death star.

‘John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show’ will air an all-new episode on August 17 from 11pm-midnight. Oliver will host the episode, which features comedy from Michael Che, Iliza Shlesinger, Hari Kondabolu and Michael Ian Black, who closes the episode.
