A lawsuit against Johnny Depp by a disabled woman in April has been dismissed, TMZ is reporting. The woman, Robin Eckert, filed the lawsuit after she claimed the ‘Lone Ranger’ actor’s bodyguards attacked her at an Iggy Pop concert last year. The lawsuit also stated that the bodyguards dragged her along the ground, causing her pants to be removed from her body.
Eckert filed the lawsuit anonymously under the name Jane Doe. It’s unclear why, however, as she provided her real name in December when she filed a police report.
The judge in the case dismissed the lawsuit, after finding Eckert had no justification for filing anonymously. The judge said she can refile, but only if she uses her legal name. Eckert has 20 days to decide if she wants to refile the lawsuit.
