Robert Pattinson passed on criticizing ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart yesterday while visiting ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,’ TMZ is reporting. The actor, whose new drama ‘Cosmopolis’ hits theaters on Friday, declined to comment on the cheating scandal in his first interviews since the news of the affair broke.
However, before the interview began filming, Pattinson reportedly seemed anxious about answering questions about his ‘Twilight’ co-star’s affair with her ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ director, Rupert Sanders. When Jon did ask Pattinson how he was holding up, the actor refused to answer. The talk show host then said “I wish you the best, these things happen when you’re young.”
While Pattinson and Jon were eating pints of Ben & Jerry’s together during the interview, the talk show host joked “Boy, you are better off, kick her to the curb!” He ended the interview by saying, “When you are young and you break up, it’s powerful and you feel like the world is ending. This is first time I’ve seen the world actually react that way. It’s insanity.”
