Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers have been linked (professionally and romantically) in the past, but this time, Lovato is hooked up with the youngest Jonas brother as a part of her new stint as a judge on Simon Cowell’s “The X-Factor.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lovato and Jonas will pair up for the judges’ house portion of “The X Factor,” where final cuts are made and the Top 16 acts are revealed (four acts per judge). This year, each judge will be given a group to mentor. Although it is not yet confirmed, The Hollywood Reporter reports that the group breakdown will look like this: Lovato will mentor solo singers from ages 12-16, Britney Spears will mentor singers from ages 17-24, L.A. Reid will mentor singers from ages 25 and beyond, and Simon Cowell will mentor the group acts.

Although Nick Jonas has secured this spot as a guest mentor on “X Factor,” he still has his eyes on a judging position on “American Idol.’ He has tweeted that judging for the long-running “Idol” would be “a dream come true,” and his open campaign for the position has not yet resulted in a judging spot.
