Kristen Stewart sat down with UK Vogue Magazine to talk about her career and her life in the spotlight. An overnight sensation since playing Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga that will churn out one more installment this coming November, the actress shed some light on how she feels about being famous. Stewart’s candid talk comes just weeks after her indiscretions with Snow White director Rupert Sanders that has resulted in her break-up from longtime boyfriend and co-star Robert Pattinson. “People expect it to be easy because there you are, out there, doing the thing you want and making lots of money out of it,” Stewart shared in the soon to be released October issue. “But you know, I’m not that smooth. I can get clumsy around certain people. Like if I were to sit down and think, ‘OK, I’m really famous, how am I going to conduct myself in public?’ I wouldn’t know who that person would be!”
The twenty-two year old who will show up in the December release of ‘On The Road’ also spoke about her character, the liberated and vivacious Marylou of the Jack Kerouac adaption, giving fans insight into why she might follow a different path than her leading female Hollywood counterparts and how she understands the alter ego she portrays. “There is always going to be that seam of people who want things [different from] the standardized version,” she stated. Adding, “It’s not necessarily a rebellious thing, it’s just who they are.” Adding later in the interview, “People who don’t get off on fame, who just like the process of making movies and thrive.”
