Amanda Bynes has been charged with two counts of hit-and-run, after allegedly hitting another car and fleeing the scene twice, TMZ is reporting. If the ‘Easy A’ star is convicted on both counts, she faces up to a year in jail.
The charges come after prosecutors recently reopened Bynes’ hit-and-run case from April. The police are looking into the case again because the actress was accused of another hit-and-run last month.
The L.A. City Attorney has charged Bynes with two counts of misdemeanor hit-and-run, stemming from the two incidents. Bynes is believed to be responsible for the accident last month because the damage to the victim’s car matched the damage to her car.
Bynes is due in court on September 27 to answer to the charges. Her reps have not yet publicly commented on the case.
