Russell Brand went crazy with a go-cart recently when he sat down for an interview with ’60 Minutes,’ Celebuzz is reporting. Phil Goyen, a producer of ’60 Minutes,’ was an eyewitness to the interview, and said the ‘Rock of Ages’ star broke through some barriers and ended up on a live set.
Goyen also told Celebuzz that he was with Brand in the actor’s office at Warner Brothers when “we decided it would be fun to go on a golf cart with our reporter around the set. He went crazy. He just sped off, leaving them (the camera crew) behind. We totally lost them.”
Brand also started driving through sound studios and go stuck in one. When the cart got wedged, Boyen said he tried to lift the cart out himself, but that didn’t work. So Brand “just decided to abandon the cart on the set and walk back to his office.”
On the way back to his office, Brand stopped by the ‘Two and a Half Men’ set. Aston Kutcher quickly offered Brand a cameo as a waiter on the hit CBS sitcom. Goyen added that the actor soon returned and finished the interview, and even flirted with reporter Liz Hayes.
“The day was just chaos,” Goyen said. “You expect Russell Brand to be crazy — and he was. But he’s a lovely, generous guy. It was all in good fun.”
