A sneak peek of Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’ has been unleashed. The official first movie trailer debuted on Google Play on Sept. 13th with a special presentation featuring both the famed ET director and actor Joseph Gordon Levitt who plays Robert Todd Lincoln in the period picture. The film will chronicles actor Daniel Day-Lewis as the 16th president and his final months in office during a hectic time when he would set in motion his plans to end slavery and the war.

The brief but awesome clip features Lewis in the titular role, showing off the times with his attire will keeping his back to the camera for the first few seconds. Scenes of the Civil War play out next showing times of despair and arguments between the historical figures over abolishing inequality. Joining Lewis is a cast line-up of actors Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Fields, Jared Harris, Michael Stuhlbarg, Lee Pace and Jackie Earle Haley, James Spader, Jeremy Strong and David Costabile.
