Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights has become one of the premiere theme park attractions when it comes to Halloween theme park attractions. Where the other two big parks (Six Flags and Disney) incorporate Halloween into their parks, Horror Nights is a separate attraction that essentially takes over Universal’s parks in Hollywood and Orlando once all the main attractions close and the sun goes down.
Recently a number of press were invited to Universal Studios in Hollywood to preview some of their mazes (which you may read about here.) The big day came when Universal invited a majority of media outlets to preview the make-up work for Horror Nights. Where Universal has always treated the characters with respect (i.e. – not just dressing them in costumes,) Horror Nights is where Universal’s make-up crew show off their full potential. With this upcoming year, guests will be treated to the likes of The Walking Dead, Silent Hill, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Alice Cooper Goes To Hell in 3D.
The images below will do a better job of showcasing the wonderful work these titans of special effects are able to accomplish. Needless to say, I was left very ecstatic about what Horror Nights will feature this year. Universal’s Hollywood Horror Nights opens September 21st.
