Dexter’s nanny, actress Aimee Garcia, has joined ‘RoboCop’. The remake is currently filming in Toronto, Canada. Garcia will play the the helpful hands of Gary Oldman’s Dr. Robert Norton who assists in assembling the crime fighting cyborg portrayed by Joel Kinnaman. The actress joins the line-up of already cast performers that include Samuel L. Jackson who will play the role of Pat Novak, as well as Abbie Cornish as Ellen Murphy, Michael Keaton as Raymond Sellars, Jay Baruchel in the role of Pope, Jackie Earle Haley as Maddock with a rumored Clive Owen.
Just days ago a first look at actor Joel Kinnaman all suited up as ‘Robocop’ was released to the web with more pics just emerging. As pointed out by Coming Soon and fans, Robocop’s appearance is different from the original suit that first debuted back 1987 in director Paul Verhoeven’s original that starred Peter Weller. Padilha did however forewar fans and the media last year, as it looks like the he opted for a more human approach with ‘Robocop’ this time around. “It’s not going to be jaw action. They’re still working on the suit and how it’s going to look, but the visor is going to be see-through. You’re going to see his eyes.” Get a closer look at the latest set photos of Kinnaman below. ‘RoboCop’ will hit theaters on August 9, 2013.
