Rapper Chris Brown will be returning back to court after failing a drug test after marijuana showed up in his system. A Los Angeles judge in the case has set a hearing this coming November to determine whether the artist’s drug use violates the terms of his probation. Brown has been on probation since 2009 after assaulting his girlfriend at the time Rihanna. According to Ace Showbiz, the erratic entertainer tested positive back in June in Virginia where he has been working on his community service.
After failing the test Brown reportedly pulled out a medical marijuana card. Judge Patricia Schnegg who presided over the hearing this past Monday reminded Brown of his status as a celebrity, informing him that his fans were watching. “You are not an average person who can sit in their living room and do what you want to do,” Schnegg stated. Adding, “You are not only in the public eye, but you are on probation. You should be mindful of obeying all rules of the courts. A lot of people look up to you — a lot of kids. What you do and what you say impacts other people.” Meanwhile, Rihanna tweeted a message of support for Brown sometime before his court appearance. “Praying for you baby, my best wishes are with you today! Remember that whatever God does in our lives, it is WELL DONE!!! #1Love — @chrisbrown I’m praying for you and wishing u the best today!”
