The promotion tour for Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie” became a little bit of a “Beetlejuice” retrospective, according to TooFab. TooFab was not only able to catch up with Burton and “Frankenweenie” stars Catherine O’Hara and Winona Ryder, the site has the scoop on whether or not there’s going to be a sequel to “Beetlejuice.”

During the junket, O’Hara and Burton talked about how Ryder looks like she hasn’t aged since her role in “Beetlejuice.” “She’s so beautiful! Oh my lord, she looks the same as she did at 13, 14 on ‘Beetlejuice. Same sweet little baby face!” O’Hara said to the press Sunday.

“[Ryder] hasn’t really changed much at all, which is great,” said Burton. “I love working with her and I haven’t worked with her for many years … but because it [Frankenweenie] was a project that means a lot to me, it was nice to have somebody like her who I love.”

So the big question–will there be a “Beetlejuice” sequel? “I heard it’s being written, that’s all I know,” Ryder said.

Burton also added, “The writer is writing something and I have no idea when it’s coming. I have no expectations. I didn’t give him too much [direction] because I want to try to not have a lot of preconceived ideas about it. Sometimes you want to be surprised.”
