‘Whip It’ helmer and ‘E.T.’ child star Drew Barrymore has given birth to her first child. The 37-year old actress and her husband Will Kopelman shared the news this past Monday. “We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born September 26th, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives,” the message read. The birth of their child comes after the two just married this past June in Southern California in what was the actress’ third marriage.
No other details were released but Chris Miller of Barrymore’s Flower Films production company did state that the baby was born “happy, healthy and welcomed by the whole family.” Barrymore was last seen in the movie Big Miracle that was released to theaters this past year. In the film the actress portrays Rachel Kramer. Aside from some voice over work in the ‘Family Guy’ and a prior appearance in 2010′s ‘Going the Distance’ it looks like the new mom is currently taking a break.
