Cast over the summer in the dark thriller ‘Horns’ from director Alexandre Aja, new pics of Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe onset have been released. Trading in his wand and heroic charm, Radcliffe is seen on the Vancouver set with bloody horns protruding out of his head. Discussing his new gig, the 23-year-old Radcliffe told EW that taking on his new character is “very, very different” than anything he’s ever done before. Adding that his role in the film as Ignatius Perrish is “deeply emotional and also incredibly outrageous in some ways. To play somebody who, in the midst of a time in his life of great turmoil anyway, undergoes this horrific transformation into a devil character – it was very, very exciting.”
In the film Radcliffe plays a man whose girlfriend has been brutally murdered. A suspect in the case, things get worse for the actor’s alter ego when he wakes up with horns and must deal with both life altering problems. The script is written by Keith Bunin and also stars June Temple, Max Minghella, Joe Anderson, and Kelli Garner. A release date for ‘Horns’ has yet to be revealed.
