The film “Barbara” is a fascinating piece of decisions, loyalty, and the will to do the right thing. The film takes place in 1980 and features a working class doctor who mysteriously ends up in Communist East Germany from the West. She struggles to adapt to the limitations of life in the East. It’s riveting and stunningly beautiful.
