E.T., one of the most beloved movie aliens ever (if not the most beloved), is coming to Madame Tussauds October 22 in celebration of the Blu-ray release and 30th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s family classic “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.” E.T. figures will be featured in all six Madame Tussauds locations including Hollywood, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Sydney and Tokyo.

E.T. fans will be able to take the place of Elliot in the scene in which E.T. and Elliot flying on a BMX bike against the backdrop of the full moon, a scene which was voted by fans as Universal Pictures’ most memorable movie moment.

“We are delighted to be welcoming one of the greatest movie characters of all time to the attraction,” Nicky Marsh, Madame Tussauds Global Marketing Director. “We’re also absolutely certain that our guests are going to love the unique opportunity to ‘star’ in one of the most famous films ever made.”

The Extra-Terrestrial fans will have the opportunity to relive film history, both through the film’s historic Blu-ray debut and at Madame Tussauds museums in Hollywood and around the world.”

“E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,” which premiered in 1982, debuted at number one around the world and became that year’s biggest blockbuster. Even today, it remains beloved by families around the world and continue to be one of the most successful, well-loved films for the past three decades. The Blu-ray release will have many special features that will delight fans of all ages:

“Featuring an all-new, digitally remastered picture that delivers six times the resolution of DVD, as well as all-new 7.1 surround sound, the E.T.
