‘Top Chef’ host Padma Lakshmi will host the 11th Annual Dream Halloween New York event tomorrow, which will feature a performance by Cody Simpson. Dream Halloween New York is an annual event that features celebrities, live musical performances, games, arts and crafts and food from local restaurants, and all proceeds will benefit Keep a Child Alive (KCA). To date, Dream Halloween New York has raised $23.1 million for those who have been impacted by HIV/AIDS in the U.S. and other countries.
Dream Halloween New York will run from 1pm to 4pm tomorrow at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. KCA will host a red carpet to welcome guests to Dream Halloween New York. Families and celebrities will engage in the rock-n-roll Halloween themed event to raise money. The event will honor Joe Cristina, the founder of Children Affected by AIDS Foundation (CAAF) and now a member of the KCA Board of Directors.
KCA was founded by Alicia Keys in2003 to provide AIDS treatment, support, nutrition and love to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. KCA funds the pills necessary to fight HIV/AIDS, and provides support to make sure the treatment is taken properly and is effective for children. It also provides funding to eight clinical and orphan care sites in India, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa and Uganda.
