‘Transformers Prime: Season Two’ is set to be released on DVD and Blu-ray by Shout Factory and Hasbro Studios on November 20 and 27, respectfully, and the four-disc sets may be pre-ordered now. The DVD and Blu-ray will feature all 26 episodes from the second season in high-definition picture and digital sound.
The bonus features for the sets include ‘OPTIMUS PRIME: Up Close And Personal Panel From San Diego Comic-Con International 2012.’ There’s also an interview between Larry King and voice actor Peter Cullen, who voices Optimus Prime. King salutes Cullen and takes fans on a journey through the actor’s early days on the 1984 animated television series ‘Transformers Generation One,’ the three ‘Transformers’ films directed by Michael Bay and Cullen’s current work on The Hub TV network’s ‘TRANSFORMERS PRIME.’ There are also interviews with the series’ creative team.
‘Transformers Prime: Season Two’ follows Optimus Prime as he defeats Unicron, and also digs deeper into the Transformers mythology. The Autobots and Decepticons discover clues relating to secret artifacts of Iacon, Cybertron’s capital city. Their discoveries may not only change the balance of power in the war, but also potentially revive their home planet.
