Promoting the last installment of the ‘Breaking Dawn’ Saga that made him a household name, Robert Pattinson spoke with MTV Australia on October 22nd during the course of his rounds down under. With ‘Breaking Dawn 2’ set to hit theaters on November 15th, the actor discussed the “tough” but highly anticipated fight scenes between the Cullen clan and their enemy, the Volturi.
“This one was hard,” Pattinson shared. “I mean, we were shooting this big action sequence for about two and a half months in a massive warehouse where they normally sell cows, with a bunch of fake paper snow and green walls, and you literally started to go insane after a while! Yeah, it gets tough doing stuff like that, it gets a bit repetitive.”
Pattinson also spoke about his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, and her long-awaited transformation into a vampire. “Yeah, she was really excited about being a vampire. Everybody else who’d been pretty consistently in the movies, they’d obviously been playing a vampire like every day for ages. And so it’s funny seeing someone suddenly come into it and try and figure out their own version of the physicality and the mentality of it.” Adding, “But her character has a different thing, because she’s supposed to find it really easy. It’s supposed to be a natural progression for her to become a vampire, it’s supposed to be simple. So I guess it was kind of different.”
The two have been rumored to be a couple once again but have yet to confirm the status of their relationship, promoting much of ‘Breaking Dawn 2’ separately. Whether they are together or not, the last ‘Twilight’ installment is sure to bring plenty of buzz among loyal fans.
